Iron Man Magazine stands for this new vision and is doing all it can to change the bodybuilding industry for the better.
A shift in mindset came in 2018 when Douglas D. Grant and Denny Kakos bought ownership of Iron Man Magazine. They felt that the world was wanting truth–finally eliminate the poorly-veiled dark secret of bodybuilding (performance-enhancing drugs) for the benefit of anyone involved in fitness and sports.
The industry is already making moves towards Olympic-tested sports, including bodybuilding, supplements, diets, etc. Health and longevity are becoming the main focus of fitness-minded individuals and the fitness industry in general.
Iron Man Magazine wanted to provide motivation, information, training programs, nutrition advice, and supplementation protocols that readers could follow, knowing that if they put in the work, they could achieve the physique on the cover. Their fitness dreams can be a safe and healthy reality without drugs.
Big-muscled bodybuilders or chiseled, extremely shapely women will still be featured in the magazine, but only those that have achieved their physique from legally attainable means, through hard work in the gym, proper WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) compliant supplementation, and nutrition.
Thousands of tested athletes will be featured with attainable physiques achieved by hard work and dedication so that much of the population can be inspired to sculpt their own bodies and feel confident that “everything” needed to accomplish it will be shown.
Upcoming generations and peers look to the greats and strive to follow in their footsteps. There must be full transparency of the methods used to achieve success to really empower others to help them achieve their own.
After completing his goal of revamping the magazine to only featuring Olympic-level tested athletes, Douglas Grant sold his 50% ownership to his partner Denny Kakos who has headed up the magazine ever since.
